Join the Cape May-Lewes Ferry for a day of Hands on History! Get a chance to relive the past at the Historic Cold Spring Village and Naval Air Station in Cape May County. Renovated and restored to look and feel as they did years ago, these two sites bring to life important chapters in South Jersey’s history. Stroll through beautiful gardens and a farm where heritage crops are grown; visit twenty-six restored historic buildings housing historically-clothed interpreters ready to educate and entertain visitors about the lifestyles, issues, trades and crafts of yesteryear . Hangar #1 at the Cape May Airport has been restored and transformed into an Aviation Museum that houses a number of aircraft, engines, special exhibits, and educational interactive displays.
The package is available Tuesdays through Fridays until August 31, 2013. It begins with a ferry ride from Lewes to Cape May. The ferry departs Lewes for Cape May at 9:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. and customers may return to Lewes on any afternoon departure. Advanced reservations are required.
The all-inclusive price for one vehicle and driver is $57.50. The price for an additional passenger 13 years of age or older is $21.50 while a child (3-12) is $17.50 per person. Children 2 years old or younger are free. The package includes round trip ferry passage, entry into the museums, a free ice cream cone at the Village Ice Cream Parlor, 10% off Country Store items (excluding hand-made artisan wares), a NAS mug and a 10% discount at the NASW Aviation Museum gift shop.
